Morning: Pickup and Travel to Gubeikou

Kick off your day with an early breakfast at your hotel. At the designated time, your local hiking expert will meet you in the hotel lobby. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive to the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall, located approximately 155 km (about 2.5 hours) from downtown Beijing.

Gubeikou Great Wall Exploration

Upon arrival at Gubeikou, you'll discover one of the most well-preserved sections of the Great Wall, rich in history and architectural beauty. Learn about its strategic importance in ancient battle tactics, as this section served as a crucial defense point for centuries.

If the weather permits, take in stunning views of the Wangjing Tower in the Simatai section, visible from several kilometers away. Enjoy the rugged and untouched beauty of the surrounding landscape as you begin your hike.

Lunch Break

After exploring Gubeikou, enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local specialties at a nearby restaurant. This is a perfect time to relax and recharge for the next leg of your adventure.

Afternoon: Hike to Jinshanling

Post-lunch, continue your hike toward the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall. The trail offers a mix of well-preserved watchtowers and scenic views, providing ample opportunities for stunning photographs.

As you hike, your guide will share fascinating stories about the history of the Great Wall and its significance in Chinese culture. Marvel at the breathtaking vistas of mountains and valleys along the way.

Return to Beijing

After completing your hike, you will return to the starting point for a scenic drive back to Beijing. Reflect on the incredible sights and experiences of the day as you make your way back to the city.
