Xihai Grand Canyon
Xihai Grand Canyon, located in Huangshan County in Anhui Province, China, is part of the Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area, and is notable for its natural landscapes such as peak forests, canyons, streams and waterfalls. In addition, in the Xihai Grand Canyon there are two distinctive pine trees, known as the Lucky Pine and the Out-of-Nowhere Pine.
Location
The Xihai Grand Canyon is located in the western part of Huangshan Mountain. From the Beihai Scenic Area, follow the Xihai Road and soon reach the entrance of the Xihai Grand Canyon. Origin of the Name
The name “Xihai” refers to “Western Sea” in Chinese, because it is connected to the Eastern Sea in fold legend, as if it were an extension of the sea.
