Things to Do at Shanghai City God Temple
With a great reputation both inside and outside China, Shanghai City God Temple is a wonderful attraction visited by all foreign travelers. Since 1991, the Shanghai Municipal Government has launched a plan to convert the City God Temple into a large modern shopping center for tourists, which it has named "Yuyuan Shopping Center." Most of the buildings in this center were built before 1911, until now they all retain their original old style. Generally, the streets in that area are a bit narrow, and the shops in the shopping center are arranged row after row, selling a variety of products with their own characteristics, always crowded. However, the original styles and features of this ancient city have been well preserved.
It is really a beautiful attraction with traditional and modern styles that tourists should not miss. At the same time, you can get Chinese handicrafts, exclusive gifts, wonderful souvenirs and various exquisite items here.
