Yuanjiajie

Yuanjiajie, located north of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, is a unique mountainous plateau. With high rock peaks behind it and a deep valley in front of them, it stretches from east to west like a natural gem. Now the most visited place by travelers is Yuanjiajie, thanks to the success of the movie "Avatar". Not only did this film sweep the box office, but it also made the "Avatar" filming location, Yuanjiajie, fashionable.

In this magical place, there are many impressive points of interest. Among them, the Posterior Garden is a poetic place, like a secret garden of nature, full of flowers and lush vegetation, radiating the vitality of nature. The Spell Platform is another fascinating place, from where you can admire the entire valley and the distant peaks peeking out of the mist, creating a magical atmosphere. The First World Bridge is the landmark of Yuanjiajie, a natural stone arch structure that runs through the valley and connects two peaks. With a wide body and a flat surface, it looks like a masterpiece of nature. Standing on the bridge, you can feel the magic and mystery of nature.

Yuanjiajie covers approximately 1200 hectares, with an average altitude of 1074 meters. It is bordered to the east by the Jinbian River and offers distant views of Yanzizhai Mountain; to the south are the Huangshi Mountains, connected to Tianbo Prefecture; to the west is Tianzi Mountain; and to the north is the Suoxi Valley. It is a jewel embedded in the core of the Wulingyuan Main Scenic Area, which attracts countless tourists with its unique mountain scenery and rich natural beauty. Yuanjiajie, located at the northern foot of Sandaogou Gorge, is a large mountain made up mainly of quartzite. It is another focal point of Zhangjiajie Park and shows the supernatural ability of nature. You can go up to Yuanjiajie from the left side of the Jinbian River, near Zicao Pond, or follow the edge of the Yuanjiajie Plateau to go down a trail to the point where the Jinbian River and Qianlixi River meet.
