Meal: Lunch

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Suzhou by private vehicle, about 1.5 hours from Shanghai to Suzhou.

On the highway, you can see the typical suburbs and modern countryside of Eastern China.

PART 1: Arrive in Suzhou, the Lingering Garden and Lunch at Pingjiang Ancient Street

Visit the Lingering Garden which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will tell you the history and some anecdotes of this delicate traditional garden.

Enjoy Suzhou food on Pingjiang Street. Your guide will help you order the local dishes.

After a delicious lunch, we will take a leisurely stroll along Pingjiang Ancient Street, a historic cultural street that has been preserved for over 800 years.

PART 2: Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden

Then we will arrive at Suzhou Museum, known as “the most beautiful museum”, its minimalist lines outline a different garden landscape, similar to a Chinese ink painting. It is a museum that showcases the rich history, culture and modern architectural achievements of Suzhou.

Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the most famous and largest Chinese gardens in Suzhou, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in southern China. It was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

At the end of the trip, we will return to the hotel in Shanghai.
