Traveling to Lhasa by air is highly recommended. Lhasa's Gonggar Airport connects to major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Guangzhou, as well as Kathmandu in Nepal. The flight between Chengdu and Lhasa is the most frequent and is often the preferred choice for travelers.

By Train
Another option for reaching Lhasa is via the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, known as the world's highest railway line. Trains run from cities such as Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Xining. The journey can take around 48 hours if you depart from Beijing or Xi’an, while traveling from Xining takes about 25 hours.
