Route
Journey of the Great Buddha, excursion to see pandas and Buddha
06:30 - 07:00 | Hotel Pick-up
A private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel. An early start is crucial to beat crowds and ensure sufficient time for Leshan.
07:30 - 09:30 | Visit Chengdu Panda Base
Arrive right at opening time for the best panda viewing. This is when they are most active—eating bamboo, climbing, and playing. You may also see panda cubs.
09:30 - 11:30 | Transfer to Leshan
Depart Chengdu for Leshan City (approx. 2-hour drive).
11:45 - 12:45 | Lunch
Enjoy a local Leshan specialty lunch, such as Lotus Root Stewed with Spare Ribs or Bon Bon Chicken.
13:15 - 15:45 | Explore the Leshan Giant Buddha
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend the Nine-Bend Stack Path to gaze up at the 71-meter tall Maitreya Buddha, feeling its grandeur. Explore Lingyun Temple and other sites.
16:00 | Return to Chengdu
Conclude the impressive journey and be transferred back to your hotel in Chengdu (approx. 2.5-hour drive).
