Depart your Chengdu hotel in the morning for Chengdu East or West Railway Station. Board the comfortable Chengdu-Lanzhou High-Speed Train for a scenic journey through western Sichuan's landscapes to Jiuzhaigou Station (approx. 3-3.5 hours). After lunch upon arrival, take a coach to the Huanglong Scenic Area, known as the ""Fairyland on Earth."" Take the cable car up and walk along the boardwalk to marvel at the Multi-Colored Ponds, Huanglong Ancient Temple, and the incredible travertine terraces. Check into your hotel near Jiuzhaigou Valley in the evening.
Spend the entire day exploring the stunning Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park. The park is shaped like a ""Y,"" and you will visit its three main valleys:
Shuzheng Valley: The first valley from the entrance, featuring Bonsai Beach, Reed Lake, Sparkling Lake, Shuzheng Lakes, and Nuorilang Waterfall.
Rize Valley: The most spectacular section, home to the breathtaking Five-Flower Lake, Pearl Shoal Waterfall (featured in the TV series Journey to the West), Mirror Lake, Panda Lake, and Arrow Bamboo Lake.
Zechawa Valley: Highlights here include the vast Long Lake, the park's largest and deepest, and the mesmerizingly colorful Five-Color Pond.
Use the efficient park shuttle buses to travel between sights. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready with your camera in this ""fairy-tale world."
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy some free time or relax near the park entrance. Later, transfer to Jiuzhaigou Railway Station to board the high-speed train back to Chengdu. Arrive in Chengdu in the afternoon or early evening, concluding your unforgettable journey to these natural wonders.
