You can check in and settle in freely, with the rest of the day reserved for your rest and free exploration to adapt to the local environment.
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning to start your in-depth Beijing cultural tour.
First, visit the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex. Serving as the royal residence for 24 emperors across the Ming and Qing dynasties, it features grand imperial architecture, rigorous central-axis layout and profound royal culture. Your professional guide will narrate vivid historical stories and cultural anecdotes throughout the visit.
After a local authentic lunch, proceed to the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and China’s most magnificent ancient imperial sacrificial altar. Built for emperors to pray for bumper harvests and national prosperity, it boasts exquisite ancient wooden structures and harmonious traditional Chinese geomantic layout.
After the day’s sightseeing, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel for rest.
Your guide and driver will pick you up early in the morning and drive you to Jinshanling Great Wall, a pristine Ming-Dynasty Great Wall section renowned as a “photographer’s paradise”. Different from crowded Badaling and Mutianyu sections, Jinshanling features well-preserved original wall structures, dense unique watchtowers and stunning panoramic mountain views with far fewer tourists.
Spend the daytime exploring the majestic winding Great Wall, appreciating its grand military architecture and overlapping mountain landscapes. After the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you to Gubei Water Town, a characteristic northern water town integrating ancient architecture and mountain river scenery.
Check into a boutique hotel inside Gubei Water Town for a convenient stay. When night falls, embark on a unique night tour of Simatai Great Wall. Admire the illuminated ancient wall winding across dark mountain ridges, presenting a dreamy and spectacular night scenery rarely seen in daytime visits.
Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Gubei Water Town at your own pace. Wander along ancient stone streets, cross classic stone bridges, visit traditional folk workshops and experience authentic northern water town customs and retro ancient town vibes.
After a delicious local lunch, your guide and driver will escort you back to Beijing urban area and transfer you to the airport or railway station for your departure.
