Morning: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Start your tour at the world-famous Chengdu Panda Base. Arrive early to see the pandas at their most active. Observe the adorable giant pandas and red pandas up close at the Panda Villa, Sun and Moon Nurseries, and learn about conservation efforts.
Afternoon: People's Park & Kuanzhai Alley
In the afternoon, experience local life at People's Park. Sip traditional tea at the Hemings Teahouse, watch locals socialize, and maybe try an ear cleaning.
Afterwards, take a stroll through Kuanzhai Alley (Wide and Narrow Alleys), a restored Qing-dynasty area now filled with boutiques, cafes, and snack stalls. It's perfect for sampling local food and soaking in the historic atmosphere.

Full Day: Sanxingdui Museum
Enjoy an in-depth exploration of the new Sanxingdui Museum. Drive from Chengdu to Guanghan (approx. 1.5 hours). Spend 4-5 hours marveling at the stunning artifacts of this mysterious civilization, including the Bronze Sacred Tree, Standing Bronze Figure, Gold Mask, and the newly discovered Tortoiseshell-Shaped Grid. This site predates Jinsha and showcases incredible imagination and bronze-casting skills.

Morning to Afternoon: Jinsha Site Museum
Visit the Jinsha Site Museum in the morning. This was the capital of the Shu Kingdom following Sanxingdui. Must-sees include the “Sun Bird” Gold Foil (symbol of Chinese cultural heritage), the Gold Mask, the Ebony Forest, and the crucial Relics Hall—the preserved excavation site itself. Allow 3-4 hours.
