Your day begins with a hotel pickup in Guilin, followed by a scenic drive to Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the distinctive architecture and customs of the Dong people.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with a traditional Dong lunch featuring local specialties such as sour fish, oil tea, and glutinous rice wine.
In the afternoon, explore the Chengyang Eight Villages, where you'll visit the iconic Chengyang Yongji Wind-Rain Bridge and learn about traditional woodcraft. You'll also experience ceremonial welcome songs and see demonstrations of Dong textile weaving and embroidery.
A visit to the Dong Ethnic Museum offers a deeper look into Dong history, traditional costumes, and the cultural significance of silver craftsmanship.
After checking in at the Sanjiang Wind-Rain Bridge International Hotel, enjoy dinner before attending the "Sitting and Loving" Evening Folk Show at the Dong Nest Theater—a captivating performance celebrating Dong wedding traditions.
The evening is yours to relax: take a stroll along Moon Street or enjoy a quiet walk through the hotel gardens.
Start your day with a traditional Dong breakfast featuring oil tea and sticky rice cakes.
Next, explore the ancient streets of Danzhou Ancient Town, where you'll wander past well-preserved Ming-Qing walls and the historic Fujian-Guangdong Guildhall.
Then, visit the Sanjiang Drum Tower, the tallest wooden drum tower in the world—a stunning example of Dong architectural craftsmanship.
For lunch, enjoy a farm-to-table meal by the riverside, with local specialties such as earthenware clay pot chicken and fresh Xunjiang fish.
In the afternoon, head to the Buxian Tea Plantation, where you'll hike through scenic high-mountain tea terraces and take part in hands-on tea picking and processing.
