The best showcase for Chinese products
‘Made in China’ used to be synonymous with ‘poor quality’, but has now come to mean ‘good and cheap’ or ‘the best value for money’. Chinese products have made an enormous contribution to the prosperity of the global market and to improving the lives of people in various countries. What is the best way to find suppliers of a wide variety of products? Without a doubt, the best way is to visit the Canton Fair, that is, the “China Import and Export Fair”, which features over 20,000 exporting companies and hundreds of thousands of export products. It is the largest trade fair in China, boasting the widest and most extensive range of products, the highest number of attendees and the largest number of business deals concluded. Like many trade fairs, it has a long-standing tradition and plays a significant role as an event of great international importance.
More space, more business
The Canton Fair employs flexible and diverse business methods; in addition to traditional exhibitions and transactions, online fairs are also held. The fair focuses primarily on export trade whilst also handling import business; it can also facilitate various forms of economic and technical cooperation and exchanges, as well as commercial activities such as commodity inspection, insurance, transport, advertising and consultancy. The fair’s exhibition centre is located on Pazhou Island in Guangzhou, with a total construction area of 1.1 million square metres, a total indoor exhibition area of 338,000 square metres and an outdoor exhibition area of 43,600 square metres. With the fourth phase of the Canton Fair exhibition hall project coming into use for the 132nd Canton Fair (i.e. the Autumn Fair 2022), and the total exhibition area of the Canton Fair venue upon completion reached 620,000 square metres, making it the world’s largest exhibition complex. Of this, the indoor exhibition area is 504,000 square metres and the outdoor exhibition area is 116,000 square metres.
Different phases
The fair takes place over two seasons, each comprising three phases. Each phase showcases different types of industries:

Tips
Guangzhou is prepared to accommodate all visitors and exhibitors. As for hotel capacity, there is no problem. However, it rises a lot during the days of the Fair. In some cases the price is tripled. Therefore, we recommend that foreign exhibitors book hotels in advance. To reserve hotels, there are many possible ways, either through travel agencies abroad or online. Naturally, you can find information on the Fair portal about the location, category and price of the hotels and make the reservation through the Fair organizers, which is somewhat cheaper.
The Fair offers interpreter service in different languages, including Spanish. You can fill out the interpreter reservation request form online. The Fair will provide you with appropriate interpreters, according to your needs.
